X (formerly Twitter) now uses your posts for Grok AI training: here’s how to Opt-out

X (formerly Twitter) has quietly introduced a new setting that allows it to use your posts and data for training its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, Grok.

Yes, X has added a setting that enables the use of your posts and other data to improve Grok.

This setting is enabled by default and explicitly states that user data may be shared with X AI, the company developing Grok.

However, the good news is that you can prevent X from sharing your data with the AI chatbot.

To do this, you need to disable the new setting.

According to reports, while it is not possible to disable this setting on the mobile app, you can do so on the web version.

To disable it, open X on the web version and go to the “Settings and Privacy” page on the left-side panel.

From there, click on “Privacy and Safety.”

Scroll down and click on “Grok.”

In this section, there will be a blue box—uncheck it to disable the setting.

You can also delete your chat history with Grok by using the “Delete Conversation History” option available.
