More than 2 billion people around the world use WhatsApp.However, most users believe that it is not possible to use the Meta-owned messaging app without the internet.
But did you know that WhatsApp can still be used when internet services are unavailable or not working properly?
Yes, really, WhatsApp introduced this feature in 2023.This feature, known as proxy support, aims to provide access to WhatsApp in places where the app is blocked or internet service is disrupted for any reason.
Through this feature, WhatsApp can connect to servers set up by various organizations and individuals so that people can use the service.
The good news is that even when using proxy support, WhatsApp messages remain end-to-end encrypted, meaning no one else can access them.
How to use this feature?
1. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.
2. Navigate to the Storage option, click on Data, and select Use Proxy.
3. Enter the proxy address and click Save to Connect.
Once you do this, you will see a check mark indicating that the connection is working. After this, you will be able to send and receive messages without an internet connection.
If you are still unable to send messages despite this option, it means the proxy is blocked. In that case, you will need to use a different proxy address.
