Global instant messaging giant WhatsApp is continuously introducing new features for the convenience of its users. Now, WhatsApp is testing a new feature inspired by Instagram.
According to a technology report, WhatsApp is working on a new feature similar to Instagram’s, which will allow users to reshare status updates in which they are tagged.
The new feature is named “Reshare Status Update.” It will enable users to easily reshare statuses where they have been tagged, along with their own context, thus broadening the sharing capabilities of any content.
The feature is currently in the development stages and will be introduced in a future WhatsApp update. However, it is not yet clear when this new feature will be officially launched.
How Will the New Feature Work?
According to the report, once the feature is introduced, a new button will be included within the status update interface. This button will enable WhatsApp users to easily reshare status updates where they have been tagged.
This feature will eliminate the hassle of taking screenshots of the tagged statuses or privately sharing the original shared content.
