A video has emerged showing secret cameras being used to blackmail the renowned playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
The footage reveals the main suspect, Hassan Shah, and a woman determining the placement of the cameras, with the woman directing Hassan Shah on where to install them.
It has been reported that Hassan Shah, the mastermind behind a honey trap scheme demanding ransom from Qamar, has been arrested along with his accomplice.
The police stated that Hassan Shah and his associate, Rafiq, were apprehended in Peshawar, and further investigations are ongoing.
They also noted that Hassan Shah is a key figure in a 12-member gang, which includes both men and women. Twelve suspects, including the woman, have already been arrested.
The incident involving Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar included robbery and kidnapping.
According to the FIR, the suspects not only assaulted Qamar but also stole his mobile phone, watch, and cash, and transferred Rs. 250,000 from his ATM card.
