DPO Rahim Yar Khan Imran Malik informed journalists in a press conference that the police conducted an intelligence-based operation and swiftly responded, rescuing the five young men from Karachi from the clutches of the kidnappers in the Kacha area.
DPO Irfan Malik stated that upon seeing the police, the kidnappers abandoned their captives and fled to interior Sindh along the River Sindh in the Kacha area.
The rescued individuals from Karachi are Syed Haroon Ali, Hamza Anwar, Bilal bin Zia, Owais Ahmed, and Nofil Ahmed, who had traveled from Karachi to Kashmore under the pretense of buying animals.
The DPO explained that these five young men had been lured by the promise of cheap animals and had arrived in Guddu after seeing an advertisement for inexpensive animals on social media.
In a separate operation, the Kot Sabzal police station rescued a university employee from Multan, Muhammad Naeem, who was abducted under the pretense of an IT course and was on his way to Kashmore.
DPO Rahim Yar Khan stated that the police are present in the Kacha area with full force to protect public safety and have eliminated serious crimes from the region without regard for their own safety.
DPO Imran Ahmad Malik urged citizens not to fall for kidnappers’ schemes, noting that the Rahim Yar Khan police have so far rescued 442 individuals from being abducted through traps.
