The article begins by acknowledging that the nation is currently grappling with a variety of issues, and if it were only the economic problems, the people might not be as distressed. While it is true that economic challenges can be a matter of life and death for any nation, fortunately, the public is standing by the government in its efforts to resolve them. The steps the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has compelled the government to take to stabilize the economy have placed a burden on the people, but they are enduring it because these measures are believed to be for the country’s betterment. However, there have been some mistakes at the government level that need to be corrected, such as the issue with Independent Power Producers (IPPs). The hope is that the government will resolve this issue in accordance with public expectations, as promised.
Beyond economic terrorism, the country is also facing various other forms of terrorism that are not only causing harm but are also weakening the nation. It is unnecessary to further elaborate on the fact that Pakistan is an independent country inhabited by a proud and resilient people. Every inch of this land is deeply cherished by Pakistanis. They have witnessed the country being torn apart in the past, but they are not prepared to experience such a horrific tragedy again.
Unfortunately, our eastern and northwestern neighbors have been against Pakistan since its inception; they do not wish to see Pakistan on the world map, even though 78 years have passed since its creation. These neighbors are constantly striving to turn Pakistan into a failed state. Pakistan has always made sincere efforts to be a good neighbor, but these neighbors leave no stone unturned in their attempts to disrupt Pakistan’s peace.
Recently, terrorists have escalated their attacks in several cities of Balochistan, leading to the tragic deaths of over 50 innocent civilians, most of whom were laborers from both Punjab and Balochistan. The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfraz Bugti, rightly stated that the terrorists did not kill Punjabis or Balochis, but Pakistanis. Those working on the enemy’s payroll are traitors to Pakistan and its people, and the nation will not rest until they are made an example of.
The most significant dispute between India and Pakistan is over Kashmir, which, according to the United Nations Security Council, is a disputed territory. However, India does not comply with the Security Council’s resolutions. In the northwest, the Durand Line is an internationally recognized border, but every Afghan government has tried to make this settled issue a point of contention.
Balochistan has been a target of the enemy since the beginning, especially because of the Gwadar Port, which is eyed enviously by several countries. These countries are doing everything in their power to sabotage this grand project. With the help of China, the project is moving forward, and it represents a great gift of progress and prosperity for the people of Pakistan, particularly those in Balochistan. Once completed, it will address all the deprivations of the Baloch people, which is likely what our enemies fear.
The article also criticizes the shortcomings of our leaders, which have led to the emergence of many issues. The terrorists mistook the government’s leniency for weakness and expanded their activities. An example of this is the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Currently, there may be terrorist hideouts in the Kacha area, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Despite ongoing operations in these regions for a long time, success has been elusive. The government will now have to hand over these areas to the military; otherwise, both terrorists and bandits will continue to find refuge there, and the government’s claims of eradicating terrorism from the country will never be fully realized.
