Karachi: Sui Southern Gas has announced a gas outage across most areas of the city from the morning of July 28 to the morning of July 29.
In a press statement issued by the Sui Southern Gas spokesperson, it was mentioned that the company has intensified efforts to improve gas pressure for industrial, commercial, and domestic consumers in Karachi.
To achieve this, a 24-inch diameter, 31-kilometer-long transmission pipeline will be connected to the system on Sunday. As a result, gas supply will be suspended from 5 AM on July 28 (Sunday) to 5 AM on July 29 (Monday).
The spokesperson further stated that the gas outage will affect all sectors of Surjani Town and North Karachi, Manghopir Town, Qasba Town, all sectors of Orangi Town, and all blocks of North Nazimabad.
Additionally, the Federal B Area, all blocks of Gulberg, Buffer Zone, Site Industrial Area, Baldia Town, Ittehad Town, and Mauripur will also be affected.
Gas supply will also be suspended in the Central Region, including Gulshan-e-Mimar, Ahsanabad, Jhanghar Goth, Site Super Highway, and surrounding areas.
Sui Southern Gas has requested consumers in these areas to arrange alternative fuel during this temporary outage to avoid any inconvenience.
