Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is set to face parliamentary proceedings regarding his assistance with his wife’s business.
According to foreign media, Pedro Sánchez will appear before Parliament today to address allegations of involvement in business dealings related to his wife, Begona Gómez.
Reports suggest that these allegations have put Sánchez’s already precarious coalition government at risk, although Sánchez strongly denies any wrongdoing.
He claims the accusations are part of a campaign by right-wing factions against his left-leaning government.
Despite Sánchez’s denial, the case has created a stir in Spanish politics, with conservative opposition parties calling for his resignation.
Previously, a Spanish court had summoned Begona Gómez regarding the accusations that her husband had provided assistance to her business.
