Islamabad: A software has been developed for the Digital Parking project in Islamabad.
Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, was briefed on the progress of the Digital Parking project in Islamabad.
It was stated that in the first phase, digital parking will be introduced in the city’s busy centers and markets.
The CDA Chairman instructed officials to start the hardware installation for digital parking soon and emphasized involving all stakeholders, especially local traders, to ensure the success of the digital parking project.
He mentioned that parking rules and charges should be finalized, keeping in view the experiences of other cities and international practices.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa also stated that the revenue generated from digital parking would be used for the renovation and improvement of markets and centers.
The revenue will be spent on the upliftment and maintenance of local areas.
The CDA Chairman also directed that the digital parking project should include a system prioritizing the elderly, women, and people with special needs.
