Sindh government launches new EV-4 electric bus route in Karachi

Karachi: The Sindh government has launched a new eco-friendly electric bus route in Karachi, with provincial assembly members inaugurating the new EV-4 route from Bahria Town to Exhibition Chowrangi.

The inauguration was attended by PPP provincial assembly members Raja Abdul Razzaq, Sajid Jokhio, and Bahria Town’s Assistant General Manager Brigadier Khalid Mahmood.

According to officials, the new 55-kilometer EV-4 route will feature 12 electric buses.

This route will benefit residents of Bahria Town, Dumba Goth, Gulshan-e-Mimar, Sohrab Goth, Al-Asif Square, Ayesha Manzil, Lalu Khet, and Teen Hatti.

The new route is expected to boost the local economy, ease job searches for citizens, and reduce travel costs and road traffic congestion.

Sindh’s Transport Department officials stated that additional buses will be purchased and new routes introduced to provide citizens with better, affordable, and modern travel facilities.
