Lahore: Shocking revelations have emerged in the investigation of the murder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr. Shahid Siddique, with CCTV footage showing his son, Qayyum, conducting reconnaissance with the suspect.
According to the police, Dr. Shahid’s son, Qayyum, conspired with a close friend to plan his father’s murder. The friend has also been taken into custody.
The investigation revealed that Qayyum wanted to marry a girl of his choice, but after Dr. Shahid Siddique refused, a murderous attack was planned in January.
The deal for the first attack was made for 5 million rupees, while the second attack was arranged for 20 million rupees.
Further details: The car used for reconnaissance, an Alto, was observed following Dr. Shahid Siddique from 9:50 AM on Friday morning. Qayyum was in the car conducting the surveillance.
On the same day, Dr. Shahid Siddique withdrew money from the bank and distributed it to the needy, while the suspicious car continued to trail him.
After the murder, Qayyum publicly sought justice, while he had also arranged his father’s funeral prayers.
It is noteworthy that Qayyum Shahid is currently in police custody for his involvement in the murder of Dr. Shahid Siddique, based on substantial evidence.
Qayyum is alleged to have orchestrated his father’s murder with the help of a shooter.
