Shanghai Cooperation Organization and U.S. Policies

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting was held in Islamabad on October 15-16, with the participation of heads of state from member countries. A total of 18 heads of state attended the conference, notably including China, Russia, Iran, and India, which sent their foreign ministers as representatives. It is worth mentioning that the population of the SCO member countries constitutes 40% of the world’s population, and their combined GDP makes up 32% of the global economy. The organization was founded on June 15, 2015, in the city of Shanghai, China, with the original members being China, Russia, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan.

Due to the initial five members, the organization was originally named the ‘Shanghai Five.’ However, as it expanded, the name was changed to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The official languages of the organization are Russian and Chinese. The SCO’s structure is such that all member countries have veto power, ensuring equality among members, meaning the organization does not seek domination by major powers like China or Russia. The United States applied for observer status in the organization, but its application was rejected rightly so. No country understands the true nature of the U.S. better than China and Russia.

The U.S. would have only engaged in the same conspiracies and terrorism it has practiced since its inception. The goals of the SCO, as outlined in its charter, include strengthening mutual trust, fostering friendship among member states, ensuring good neighborliness, and jointly maintaining peace, security, and stability in the region. Preventing terrorism and maintaining peace and stability is the core mission of the SCO. However, this is exactly what the U.S. does not want. The U.S. does not want peace anywhere in the world. Peace does not serve its interests. What serves its interests is continuous war in different parts of the world so that it can continue to sell its weapons.

The U.S. economy heavily depends on the arms industry, including submarines, missiles, and warplanes. For a long time, the U.S. has been destabilizing the member states of the SCO, especially Pakistan, Iran, China, and Russia. It conspires against China through Taiwan, uses Ukraine to try to break up Russia, and has threatened Russia’s integrity to such an extent that Russian President Putin recently had to threaten the use of nuclear weapons for his nation’s survival.

Take Pakistan, for example. Due to its strategic location on the world map, it has been subjected to the worst destruction and devastation for the last fifty-five years, including the break-up of the country. Through a well-thought-out plan, the U.S. has continuously kept Pakistan destabilized, with martial law, quasi-martial law, and controlled democracy. The worst conditions Pakistan is going through today all trace back to Washington.

From the break-up of Pakistan to imposing its desired changes in the Middle East, especially by trying to orchestrate a regime change in Iran, the U.S. has played a part in this ‘Great Game,’ which is expected to reach its climax by the end of October or the beginning of November. Bringing change in Iran would make it easier to impose its will on Pakistan, especially regarding Pakistan’s nuclear program. The ‘Greater Pashtunistan’ and ‘Greater Balochistan’ ideas are part of this scheme. The U.S. didn’t just let the Afghan Taliban take over Kabul without any bloodshed through a secret deal. The Afghan and Pakistani Taliban have been massacring Pakistani Muslims for a long time, just as Palestinian Muslims have been killed for years in Gaza and Lebanon.

These terrorists and their facilitators have not issued even a single fatwa against Israel. Instead of fighting jihad against Israel in support of Palestinian Muslims, the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban, along with al-Qaeda and ISIS, remain silent due to their secret deal with the U.S. They will not fight jihad against the terrorist state of Israel, nor have they issued any fatwas against it. Now, some Muslims are questioning why the Muslim world remains silent and idle, watching the massacre of Palestinian Muslims. Why is only Iran standing up for them? Iran has been consistently sacrificing for Palestinian Muslims for the last 45 years. Enduring such long-term destruction is unparalleled in history.

Do not be deceived by the outward appearance of today’s extremists. Their physical appearance and acts of worship often mislead ordinary Muslims. They were a major threat to Muslim unity 1,400 years ago, and today, they have become such a threat to the Pakistani state that it has been forced to declare them as ‘Khawarij’ (rebels). Relations between India and Pakistan are expected to improve between November and April of the coming year. Do you remember what happened in Mumbai on November 26, 2008?
