Tel Aviv: Over the past 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have caused several residential buildings to collapse, trapping dozens of people under the rubble.
According to international news agencies, the Israeli military has targeted residential areas in multiple locations across Gaza.
The airstrikes have led to ongoing efforts to recover bodies from the debris.
The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Health reports that 64 people have been killed and 105 injured in the past 24 hours due to the Israeli bombardment, with the majority being women and children.
The statement indicates that there are still many people trapped under the rubble of the destroyed buildings, raising concerns about an increase in casualties.
Following the destruction of residential buildings, a large number of residents have been forced to spend the night on the streets and will be relocated to refugee camps in the morning.
This escalation in violence comes just a day after the International Court of Justice ruled against Israel’s aggression and occupation.
Since the beginning of Israeli airstrikes on October 7, more than 39,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 90,000 injured.
