Second round of negotiations between government and Jamaat-e-Islami could not begin

Rawalpindi: The second round of negotiations between the government committee and Jamaat-e-Islami’s committee could not begin.

According to media, the second round of negotiations between the government and Jamaat-e-Islami regarding the sit-in at Liaquat Bagh Chowk Murree Road could not commence.

Employees of the Commissioner’s Office left for home after their shift ended.

There were reports that the government’s technical committee would meet at the Commissioner’s Office in Rawalpindi to discuss Jamaat-e-Islami’s demands, followed by the second round of negotiations with Jamaat-e-Islami.

Currently, only the routine security staff is present at the Commissioner’s Office in Rawalpindi, and the staff stated that they have not been informed about any meeting or session yet.
