Scholars reject extremists’ and terrorists’ narratives

Islamabad / Lahore: In a meeting with the Federal Interior Minister, scholars and religious leaders have completely rejected the narratives of extremists and terrorists.

Maulana Abdul Khayber Azad addressed the scholars and leaders of other religions, after which a consensus declaration was approved.

The declaration stated that Islam is a religion of peace, teaching respect for humanity and a violence-free society.

In the current national circumstances, interfaith and inter-sect harmony and national unity are crucial. Islam does not permit unjust killing under any circumstances.

The declaration expressed appreciation for the sacrifices of the Pakistani Armed Forces, asserting that the entire nation stands with its brave and fearless military.

It affirmed that Islam guarantees the rights of minorities, women, and children.

Furthermore, the declaration emphasized that “Message of Pakistan” is a great narrative that will be promoted through every home via religious platforms.

This is a time for unity and agreement, not discord, to unite the nation and the community.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Zia-ur-Rehman Imam Faisal Mosque, Maulana Muhammad Tayyib Qureshi Chief Khateeb Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Allama Mukhtar Ahmad Nadeem Chief Khateeb Punjab, Allama Shabbir Hassan Secretary General Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Mufti Gulzar Ahmad Naeemi, Maulana Tanveer Ahmad Alvi, Maulana Sardar Muhammad Laghari, Mufti Farhan Naeem, Maulana Abdul Zahir Farooqi, Maulana Abdul Aziz, Maulana Haroon-ur-Rashid Balakoti, Allama Sajjad Hussain Naqvi, Allama Mustafa Haider Naqvi, Maulana Hussain Ali, Mufti Yusuf Kashmiri, Maulana Maqsood Ahmad Toheedi, Maulana Abid Israr, Qari Bilal Golarvi, Sardar Ranjit Singh Gyani, Maulana Ikram-ul-Haq Zahir, Maulana Abdul Salam Jalali, Mufti Abu Bakr Siddique, Allama Saeed Ahmed Awan, Maulana Malik Amjad Awan, Dr. Irshad Ahmed Khan, Sahibzada Atiq Ullah Mazhar, Bishop Dr. Joseph Arshad, Pir Mumtaz Ahmed Zia Nizami, Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Naeemi, Allama Muhammad Rashid Turabi, Fahad Jamil, Professor Zafarullah Jan, and other leaders.

Federal Secretary of Interior, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Police Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, and relevant officials were also present at the occasion.
