Minister for Local Government of Sindh, Saeed Ghani, has appealed to the public to pray for rainfall that the Sindh government can handle.
In a conversation with journalists in Hyderabad, Ghani stated that the public should pray for rain that is manageable for the Sindh government, as the current system lacks the capacity to quickly drain the rainwater.
He noted that the situation in the province today is better compared to 2022, and efforts are ongoing to improve further.
Ghani emphasized that while efforts are being made to reduce the public’s problems during rainfall, it should not be assumed that the water will be drained immediately after the rain due to the system’s limited capacity.
He added that even developed countries experience water accumulation on roads during heavy rainfall.
