Russia and China to build international lunar station under new agreement

Moscow: A new agreement between Russia and China has been reached to establish an international station on the Moon.

According to media reports, the agreement was signed between Russia’s State Corporation for Space Activities, Roscosmos, and the China National Space Administration.

The purpose of the agreement is to provide an organizational and legal basis for mutual cooperation between the parties in specific areas to create an international scientific station on the Moon.

The intergovernmental agreement has a duration of 20 years, with a possible extension of an additional 5 years, unless either party terminates the agreement at least one year before the end of the initial period.
