Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan is pleased to announce the results of the art competition held for the design of the new series of banknotes.
The local artists and designers who participated in the competition are commendable for showcasing their creative talents on this significant occasion.
After a thorough evaluation by a committee comprising esteemed experts from relevant fields, the following designs have been selected for prize money:
– Dr. Sheereen Abidi – 1st Prize for Rs. 10 note (NDB031353)
– Mirza Sufyan – 2nd Prize for Rs. 10 note (NDB030720)
– Haroon Khan – 1st Prize for Rs. 20 note (NDB031108)
– Syed Fawad Hussain – 1st Prize for Rs. 50 note (NDB031393)
– Maimoona Afzal – 1st Prize for Rs. 100 and Rs. 5000 notes (NDB031178)
– Hadiya Hassan – 1st Prize for Rs. 500 note (NDB030815)
– Aini Zahra – 2nd Prize for Rs. 500 note (NDB031111)
– Noreen Aslam – 1st Prize for Rs. 1000 note (NDB0313148)
– Kareem Muhammad – 2nd Prize for Rs. 5000 note (NDB031801)
The shortlisted designs are suggestive in nature and will be sent to international designers shortlisted to work with the State Bank of Pakistan to finalize the new series of banknotes.
Although the international designers will be guided by the designs submitted by local artists, they will be free to use their expertise and creativity to develop the final designs.
The State Bank will ensure that the new series of banknotes reflects the rich cultural heritage and progressive vision of the nation. It is hoped that the final designs will fully represent this collaboration.
The winners will be awarded the prize money as per the announcement, and details of the award ceremony will be shared soon. We congratulate the shortlisted participants once again and extend our gratitude to all who took part in the competition.
