Lahore: Renowned Pakistani drama writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar was recently involved in a robbery and kidnapping incident.
According to details, a woman named Amina called Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, inviting him to her home under the pretext of wanting to make a drama.
Upon his arrival, armed individuals carried out the crime and abducted him.Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar paid a large sum of money to the kidnappers, after which he was released.
The Sundar Police later registered a case based on Khalil-ur-Rehman’s statement.
The FIR states that the suspects continued to assault Khalil-ur-Rehman and transported him to various locations.
Khalil-ur-Rehman reported that the kidnappers threatened to kill him and demanded money from his relatives.
According to the FIR, the suspects stole Khalil-ur-Rehman’s mobile phone, watch, cash, and transferred Rs. 250,000 from his ATM card.
The FIR further notes that the suspects blindfolded Khalil-ur-Rehman and abandoned him at a desolate location before fleeing.
