Islamabad: The government’s and military leadership’s efforts to revive the economy and alleviate the electricity crisis are beginning to show results.
In the nationwide crackdown against electricity thieves, Rs. 108.93 billion has been recovered so far, and more than 84,000 electricity thieves have been arrested.
During August, relevant authorities recovered over Rs. 6.86 billion from electricity thieves in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad.
Similarly, Rs. 4.13 billion was recovered from Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.
The concerned agencies are determined to continue their actions until the complete eradication of electricity theft across the country.
This campaign has led to a reduction in electricity theft and improvements in distribution, which in turn has helped in the recovery of the national economy.
Industries and other sectors are now receiving a more reliable electricity supply.
This joint initiative by the government and military leadership has also instilled hope and confidence among the public that they will steer the country out of the crisis and onto the path of progress.
