Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that the ongoing spell of rain in Sindh will end tonight, and rain is expected to resume on August 13 or 14.
According to the Sindh government spokesperson, a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Sindh was held regarding the situation arising from the rains.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab mentioned that there are 207 low-lying areas in Karachi: 56 in District South, 17 in West, 22 in Central, 32 in Malir, 16 in Korangi, 26 in Keamari, and 38 in East.
The Sindh Irrigation Minister reported that the situation at Guddu Barrage is satisfactory and that rainwater from Balochistan has not yet entered Sindh.
Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah directed that machinery needed for water drainage should be immediately sent to the affected cities.
