Peshawar: Qazi Anwar Advocate, a member of the Good Governance Committee, has alleged that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, is being tortured in jail.
In a media briefing, Qazi Anwar Advocate stated that he had met with the PTI founder and observed that Khan is being subjected to torture.
He also mentioned that Khan had postponed a rally, but there was an impression that the postponement was due to external pressure.
According to Anwar, Khan himself decided to postpone the rally.
He added that when he asked Khan about the reason for the postponement, the jail administration responded that political questions could not be asked.
Qazi Anwar Advocate further announced that the Good Governance Committee, established by Khan, will have its name changed to the PTI Internal Accountability Committee.
A secretariat will be set up for this committee, and it will have its own website where complaints can be lodged against any minister or official.
