Lahore: The Punjab government has launched the Socio-Economic Registry project to include various social protection programs, such as the solar program, Kisan Card, health card, and scholarship programs.
A meeting was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, where the Punjab Prosperity Survey Socio-Economic Registry Project was initiated with the slogan “Now Everyone Will Be Counted.”
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, Maryam Nawaz has tasked the Deputy Commissioners with monitoring the Socio-Economic Registry.
Under the provincial government’s Socio-Economic Registry project, households across the province will be counted, and the economic situation of each household will be recorded.
The Socio-Economic Registry will also count livestock in villages, and 5,000 registration centers have been established across Punjab.
However, the public can also register from home through the online web portal www.pser.punjab.gov.pk and helpline 0800-02345.
The statement said that only those listed in the Socio-Economic Registry will be eligible for the social protection project.
Registered citizens will be able to apply for e-bike, Roshan Gharana solar program, Himat Card, Kisan Card, as well as health card, livestock card, and scholarship program.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that having accurate data will ensure that the rightful beneficiaries receive their due benefits.
She emphasized that the registration process for the Socio-Economic Registry project has been made easy for the public.
Maryam Nawaz stated that this project will help the government address people’s issues and instructed officials to facilitate the public in the registration process at registration centers.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz gave instructions to the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners via video link.
Provincial Minister of Information and Culture Uzma Bukhari and other officials were also present on the occasion.
