Punjab government denies appointing Mufti Abdul Qavi as ambassador for number plate scheme

Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has denied that Mufti Abdul Qavi has been appointed as the ambassador for the Excise Department’s number plate scheme.

Bukhari stated that the Punjab government has not made such an appointment, and the Chief Minister of Punjab has taken strict notice of the matter.

She added that if someone within the department acted without authorization, appropriate action will be taken against them.

It is worth noting that media reports had recently claimed that Mufti Abdul Qavi was appointed as the ambassador for the Punjab Excise Department’s vanity number plates scheme.
