Punjab Chief Minister stops at roadside tea stall, sips tea on Charpoy

Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif made an impromptu stop at a roadside tea stall while traveling from DG Khan to Lahore.

The Chief Minister surprised the locals with a pleasant visit. On her return from the inauguration ceremony of a child nutrition program in DG Khan, she stopped at a roadside tea stall.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif sat on a charpoy and was served tea. Residents showed their electricity bills and thanked her for a reduction of 14 rupees per unit.

Residents expressed their gratitude, saying, “May Allah keep you happy; you have earned the prayers of the poor by reducing electricity bills.”

The Chief Minister assured the residents that both Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are concerned about their bills and are making efforts to provide relief.

She mentioned that inflation has decreased, and prices of flour, sugar, ghee, lentils, and vegetables have come down. She emphasized that they are working hard to provide further relief.
