Protesters storm Sheikh Hasina’s residence; raid food supplies and steal valuables

Dhaka: After Sheikh Hasina Wajed’s resignation, protesters stormed her official residence and the parliament, causing significant damage. They raided the food supplies and made off with valuable items.

Videos circulating on social media show thousands of protesters entering Sheikh Hasina Wajed’s official residence following her resignation.

The protesters damaged portraits of Sheikh Hasina Wajed and her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and other items in the residence.

Young protesters attacked the food supplies in the kitchen and took valuable items from the house.

In a related incident, a large number of students entered the parliament, taking seats and holding a mock session.

They also removed photographs of Sheikh Hasina and the leaders of the Awami League.

Additionally, millions of citizens took to the streets to celebrate, while protesters climbed and damaged statues of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman installed around the capital.
