Stockholm: Polish divers have discovered 175 old wine bottles from the wreckage of a 19th-century ship underwater.
A team of Polish divers explored the luxurious cargo of a 19th-century shipwreck, which included 175-year-old wine bottles.
The private diving group ‘Baltictech’ was investigating near the coast of Sweden when they came across the remarkable wreckage of a ship that, upon inspection, was found to date back to the 19th century.
The divers examined the wreckage, which contained porcelain, mineral water, and a surprising number of wine bottles.
The diving team believes that the wine bottles might have been served at the royal courts of either Stockholm or St. Petersburg.
