Peshawar: In the Ermer area of the outskirts, a police officer was martyred in a terrorist shooting at the Arandu checkpoint.
According to the police, the terrorists fired from a sniper rifle, and they fled following retaliatory gunfire.
The incident occurred late at night.The funeral prayers for the martyred constable, Saeed Ullah, were held with full state honors at the Peshawar Police Lines.
A formal police contingent saluted the martyr’s remains.
The funeral was attended by CCP Qasim Ali, SSPs, and other police officers.Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the terrorist attack and expressed condolences over the police officer’s martyrdom.
The Governor prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s status and patience for the bereaved family.
Faisal Karim Kundi stated that martyrs who sacrifice their lives in the fight against terrorism are a source of pride for the country and the nation.
