Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that he has personally canceled his weekend breaks, emphasizing that everyone must work hard if Turkey is to be achieved.
During a visit to the Technology Park project initiated during his previous tenure and to review the progress of construction, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the Islamabad Technology Park will be Pakistan’s first Category 3 technology park, meeting international standards.
He mentioned that upon taking office, he issued instructions for 24-hour work on development projects.
As Chief Minister of Punjab, he had introduced a system of 24-hour construction work on development projects.
It is encouraging that this project is also being worked on around the clock for its swift completion.
To elevate Pakistan to new heights of development, relentless effort is required.
The Prime Minister noted that he has personally given up weekends, asserting that everyone must work together for Pakistan’s progress.
He urged the project team and the Ministry of IT to expedite efforts to complete the project.
The Islamabad Technology Park will foster collaboration between local and international academia, researchers, industry, and planners.
The park is expected to increase Pakistan’s IT exports by 70 million dollars annually.Shehbaz Sharif added that the construction of the Technology Park will create 10,000 new job opportunities.
He also thanked the South Korean government for its support of the project.
During the visit, the Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of the Islamabad Technology Park, which is being built on 14.9 acres of land and will include an international standard data center.
Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar and State Minister for IT Shiza Fatima Khawaja were also present with the Prime Minister.
