Paris Olympics: Indian government sends ACs to protect athletes from heat

Paris: Due to the extreme heat at the Paris Olympics, the Indian Sports Ministry has taken a significant step to protect its athletes.

According to a report by Indian news agency PTI, the Sports Ministry has sent 40 portable air conditioners to its athletes to help them cope with the severe heat.

The Olympic Committee organizers have been unable to provide air conditioners to all athletes, prompting India to promptly send 40 AC units for the health and comfort of its competitors.

The temperature in Paris has now exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, causing severe discomfort among the athletes.

A statement from the Indian Sports Ministry said that after discussions with the French embassy, the air conditioners were sent to the Olympic Village, where they will be distributed to all Indian athletes.

So far, India has won three bronze medals at the Paris Olympics and is still searching for more medals in other events.

In contrast, traditional rival Pakistan has seen all but two of its seven athletes’ Olympic journeys come to an end without winning any medals.
