Pakistan has secured a bronze medal at the Asian U-18 Volleyball Championship held in Bahrain.
In the match for third place, Pakistan’s U-18 volleyball team defeated the defending champions, Japan, with a commanding 3-0 victory.
Pakistan dominated the match, winning with set scores of 13-25, 21-25, and 17-25, leaving their opponents completely helpless.
Earlier, Pakistan’s U-18 team was defeated by China in a thrilling semifinal.
By reaching the top four in this event, Pakistan has also qualified for the World U-19 Volleyball Championship next year.
This is Pakistan’s first medal in any age group at the Asian Volleyball Championship since 2008, when Pakistan secured third place by defeating India in the Asian U-20 Championship.
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation expressed its joy over the U-18 team’s success, stating that the performance at the Asian Championship indicates a bright future for volleyball in the country.
