Pakistan and Azerbaijan target $2 billion trade expansion with 15 new deals

Islamabad: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have committed to elevating their trade and investment from $100 million to $2 billion.

The two nations have signed 15 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and agreements covering trade, tourism, minerals, science and technology, law and justice, and cultural exchange.

These developments are tied to the upcoming visit of the Pakistani Prime Minister to Azerbaijan in November.

The SIFC has facilitated these agreements, which will be finalized during Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Pakistan.

There is also notable interest in investing in the petroleum and energy sectors.

These agreements are anticipated to mark a key milestone in Pakistan’s economic growth and strengthen bilateral cooperation and friendship.
