In another development, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman addressed the protesters, stating that providing relief to the public is central to their politics.
He urged the government to offer relief on electricity bills and to review the salary slabs created in the budget.
He emphasized that the government must provide relief to the public.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman also mentioned that the capacity payments for IPPs connected to the government could potentially end.
He argued that additional taxes and IPP capacity payments should not be borne by the public.
He called for a review of the agreements with IPPs, noting that people have sold motorcycles to pay electricity bills and urged the government to reduce its perks to provide relief to the public.
