Over thousand citizens storm PESCO’s Dullah Zakh grid station

Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, over a thousand frustrated citizens stormed the PESCO Dullah Zakh Grid Station due to power outages.

According to details, the enraged citizens invaded the grid station, with more than 1,200 protesters entering and reopening the Gulozai and Muhammad Zai feeders.

A PESCO spokesperson reported that the agitated protesters forced their way in, threatening and coercing the duty staff to reopen the feeders and pressuring them to reduce the load.

The spokesperson explained that the Gulozai feeder has line losses of 80%, while the Muhammad Zai feeder has losses of 72%, which is why load management is implemented for these feeders.

Following a request from the PESCO staff, the police arrived at the scene, evicting and dispersing the protesters from the office.
