Over 1,200 farmers in Maharashtra commit suicide in six months

New Delhi: Due to the Modi government’s controversial policies, 1,267 farmers in Maharashtra alone were forced to end their own lives in the first six months of this year.

According to a report by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the statistics reveal the anti-farmer policies of the Modi government.

The NCRB report indicates that the highest number of farmer suicides in India occurred in Maharashtra. The report states that Maharashtra accounts for over 35% of the farmer suicides in the country.

It is noteworthy that farmers across the country organized the “March to Delhi” rally against Modi’s anti-farmer policies, with millions of farmers reaching the capital, but Modi remained indifferent to their plight.

As a result of the Modi government’s controversial policies, the livelihoods of farmers have been severely affected.
