Islamabad: Foreign Office spokesperson Muntaz Zahra Baloch stated that occupied Kashmir is not a real estate property that India can control.
Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day, spokesperson Muntaz Zahra Baloch emphasized that five years ago, India undertook illegal and unilateral actions in occupied Kashmir.
She asserted that occupied Jammu and Kashmir is not a real estate asset that India can dominate.
The Foreign Office spokesperson noted that India has issued fake domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris, allowing them to purchase property and alter the demographic balance.
She criticized India for redistricting in occupied Kashmir, imposing bans on 14 political parties, and attempting to create fake political entities.
Additionally, India has engaged in various forms of state-engineering in the region.
She further stated that human rights activists and supporters are imprisoned, and the Press Club in occupied Kashmir has been closed since 2019.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees has suggested establishing a commission of inquiry. India has been obstructing efforts to address human rights violations and hinder the work of organizations advocating for these issues.
