Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to appoint a new advisor for cricket affairs in place of Waqar Younis.
A few days ago, the position was advertised following Waqar Younis’s appointment.
He had also held a press conference with Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, but he has not been coming to the office recently.
Sources indicate that Waqar Younis was displeased with a lack of cooperation from some officers, including those in the International Cricket Department.
This dissatisfaction is unrelated to the defeat against Bangladesh in the Rawalpindi Test.
Waqar Younis may be appointed as a mentor for a team in the upcoming Champions Cup starting next month.
