Nationwide strike and protests against Netanyahu government in Israel

Gaza: Following the discovery of six hostages’ bodies, a nationwide strike has been called in Israel today, prompted by family and trade union appeals. Businesses are closed, transportation is halted, and social activities are canceled.

According to international news agencies, this is the largest strike in Israel’s recent history.

Protesters are demonstrating in various locations, chanting against Netanyahu’s government.

Flight operations at Israel’s main airport, Ben Gurion Airport, have also been suspended during the strike.

Protesters have blamed Netanyahu for the hostages’ deaths, claiming his government has completely failed to secure their safe return.

They argue that the government has yet to finalize a ceasefire agreement that would guarantee the hostages’ return and peace.

The leader of the Forum for the Return of Israeli Hostages stated that a deal is more crucial than anything else, but instead of a deal, they are receiving body bags.

Banners are displayed in many places demanding that Prime Minister Netanyahu negotiate a ceasefire with Hamas and ensure the swift return of the hostages.

There are also reports of clashes between police and protesters at several locations.
