Measures decided to promote investment in tourism under SIFC

Decisions have been made to promote investment in the tourism sector under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

With the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Green Tourism Company has decided on various measures to promote investment in the tourism sector.

Green Tourism Pakistan will implement visa-on-arrival for 126 countries, visa-free entry for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and fast-track visa processing within 24 hours.

These measures are expected to directly attract approximately $80 million in foreign investment and generate a local investment volume of 8.3 billion rupees.

For the convenience of tourists, Green Tourism Private Limited has launched four-star and five-star city hotels, as well as hunting resorts in Naltar, Hunza, and Skardu.

In the first phase, development work has begun at 17 of the 78 locations identified by the government.

A central institution has also been approved by Green Tourism to promote tourism, which will include expanding air operations.

Additionally, special measures have been taken under Green Tourism to promote religious tourism, with particular focus on the safety of Sikh and Buddhist tourists.

The Green Guide Quality Program has been introduced under Green Tourism to provide high-quality tour guides for tourists.

A luxury bus tour from Islamabad to Peshawar has been started to represent national culture.

The Green Tourism project, supported by SIIF, is expected to boost economic activity and introduce new tourism projects.
