Pakistan women’s football team’s most experienced player, Malika-e-Noor, has announced her retirement from international football.
Malika-e-Noor was part of the first Pakistan women’s football team formed in 2010 and has represented Pakistan as a defender in every major event since.Malika-e-Noor has played 25 matches for Pakistan in various events.
She scored a goal in Pakistan’s first international victory against the Maldives in 2010.
Announcing her retirement on social media, Malika-e-Noor said it was the most difficult decision of her life as she was not ready for it and wanted to play for Pakistan for a few more years.
However, circumstances have changed, forcing her to announce her retirement from international football.
Malika-e-Noor will continue to play domestic football.
