Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar kidnap case: Aamna Arooj granted four-day physical remand

Lahore: Pakistani showbiz industry’s renowned playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s kidnap case has led to the accused, Aamna Arooj, being granted a four-day physical remand by the police.

Details reveal that Judge Khalid Arshad of Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court issued a one-page written order.

The written decision stated that the request of the investigating officer was reasonable, and Aamna Arooj’s four-day physical remand was approved.

According to the order, Aamna Arooj will remain with the police from sunrise to sunset and will be presented in court on July 30.

The written decision further noted that Inspector Imran Yousaf presented the accused in court and requested a 20-day physical remand for further investigation.

It is noted that Aamna Arooj had called Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar late at night, inviting him to her home under the pretense of wanting to discuss a drama.

Upon arrival, armed individuals kidnapped him. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar later paid a substantial amount for his release.
