Karachi Police suspends 12 more officers for uploading videos on social media

Karachi: An additional 12 police officers, including three female constables, have been suspended for uploading videos on social media.

Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho issued the suspension orders for the 12 officers, who were found guilty of posting videos on various social media platforms.

Among those suspended are Sonia and Mehak Khan, along with three female police constables who were stationed at the Baghdadi, Mominabad, and Sharifabad police stations.

The other nine suspended officers include Majid Ali, Kamran, Nauman Khan, Nauman, Waqas, Muhammad Sohail, Irfan Shahbaz, Ahmad Ali, and Hudaifah.

They were deployed in areas including Landhi, Defence, Mominabad Steel Town, Madadgar 15, Shaheen Force District South, Police Headquarters East, and South.

The Karachi Police Chief has transferred the suspended officers, including the three female constables, to the relevant zonal police headquarters.

District and unit SSPs have been directed to initiate strict departmental action against the suspended officers and to send a report on the measures taken for review.
