Kamala Harris edges out Donald Trump in latest U.S. Presidential poll

Washington: In a recent U.S. presidential election survey, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has edged out Donald Trump slightly.

According to international media sources, the new public survey shows Kamala Harris with 44% support, while her opponent, Donald Trump, has 42%.

This survey was conducted following the Democratic Party’s decision to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris as their new candidate.

Harris has received more support compared to Joe Biden, giving a new boost to the Democrats.

A spokesperson for Trump’s campaign stated that Harris’s popularity is temporary and poses no real threat to Republicans, predicting that her popularity will soon wane.

In previous surveys, Harris and Trump were tied at 44% as of July 15-16, while Trump had a slight lead in polls from July 1-2.

Earlier, about 56% of registered voters agreed that 59-year-old Kamala Harris is mentally sharp and capable of handling challenges, compared to 49% for Trump.

Additionally, around 80% of Democratic voters expressed a favorable view of Biden, while 91% had the same opinion of Harris.

Three-quarters of Democratic voters agreed that the party and its voters should now focus on Harris, whereas only one-quarter felt that multiple candidates should compete for the party’s nomination.
