In Hafizabad, a hotel elevator fell, injuring Civil Judge Sajid Bilal and his wife.
The incident occurred last night when Civil Judge Sajid Bilal Sidhu and his wife were at the hotel for dinner.
The judge and his wife were going to an upper floor via the elevator when it suddenly broke, causing the judge to fracture both his legs, while his wife also sustained serious injuries.
Rescue teams transported the injured to the trauma center, from where they were referred to Faisalabad due to their critical condition.
The injured judge stated that they wanted to use the stairs to go to the upper floor, but the hotel guards directed them to use the elevator, which broke near the upper floor and fell.
Following the accident, local authorities sealed the hotel and initiated further investigations.
