July has been recorded as the hottest month in Japan’s history.
According to foreign media, Japan’s Meteorological Agency reported that this July has broken all previous heat records.
Since the agency began collecting meteorological data in 1898, this July set a new 126-year record for heat.
The agency noted that the temperature was 2.16 degrees Celsius above the average, compared to last year’s July, which was 1.91 degrees Celsius above the average.
Additionally, the Disaster Management Agency reported that 59 people have died from heat strokes in Japan since April.
