The list of demands presented by Jamaat-e-Islami also includes the withdrawal of taxes on all items related to children’s education and training, including stationery items.
Additionally, Jamaat-e-Islami has stated that the luxuries of the elite are unbearable for the public, so non-developmental expenditures should be cut by 35%, and the capacity payment and dollar payment agreements with IPPs should be terminated.
Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded that the unjust and unbearable tax burden on agriculture and industry be reduced by 50%, and that industry, trade, and investment be ensured to keep the economic wheel turning and provide employment for the youth.
The party has also demanded that the oppressive tax burden on the poor salaried class be withdrawn and taxes be collected from the privileged class.
