In response to a drone attack on Tel Aviv by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, Israel has carried out airstrikes on the Yemeni city of Hodeidah.

The strikes targeted the port of Hodeidah, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to over 80 others.

According to Yemeni media, the Israeli attacks focused on oil installations at the Hodeidah port, leading to three deaths and 87 injuries.

The Israeli military stated that on Saturday, Israeli fighter jets targeted Houthi military positions in the Hodeidah port area in retaliation for hundreds of attacks against Israel from Yemen in recent months.

In response, the Houthi group has vowed to retaliate effectively, target key sites in Israel, and continue military operations in support of Palestinians.

On Friday, a drone attack near the U.S. Embassy in Israel’s capital resulted in one death and several injuries.

Yemeni Houthis claimed responsibility for the drone attack, describing it as a significant action following Hamas’s attack on October 7, 2023.
