Islamabad: Bail has been granted to two women arrested from the PTI Secretariat.
The District and Sessions Court Islamabad heard the bail application for the two women arrested from the PTI Secretariat. Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Bhatti presided over the hearing.
During the proceedings, the FIA prosecutor stated that a campaign had been run against two state institutions and that these women were employed in the media cell.
The prosecutor argued that granting bail could affect the case, as the charges are serious and evidence is available.
Defense lawyer Ali Bukhari argued that the prosecutor should show what is stated in the report and what evidence is available.
The FIA prosecutor responded that the employees were hired for a specific purpose. The defense lawyer requested to see the roles of Farhat and Iqra from the file.
After hearing the arguments, the court granted bail to the two women from the PTI media cell.
The bail was granted on the condition of furnishing two surety bonds of Rs. 50,000 each.
