Iran may respond to Israeli attacks today: U.S. website claims

A U.S. website has warned Israel of potential Iranian retaliation in response to attacks on Tehran and Beirut.

The website claims that Iran may retaliate against Israeli strikes on Tehran and Beirut as early as Monday.

According to U.S. and Israeli officials cited by the site, Iran and its proxies could launch attacks on Israel by Monday.

The website suggests that the potential Iranian attack could be more extensive than the one on April 13 and might involve Hezbollah from Lebanon.

U.S. Central Command chief General Michael Kurilla reportedly arrived in the Middle East yesterday.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei had ordered a direct attack on Israel immediately after the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh during an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council.

In response to Haniyeh’s death, Ayatollah Khamenei had stated that Tehran is obligated to avenge the killing.

He described Israel’s actions as deserving severe punishment and emphasized that Iran views avenging Haniyeh’s death as a duty.

Iranian Army Chief of Staff Major General Bagheri later indicated that Iran is assessing how to retaliate for Haniyeh’s death, stating that Israel would regret its actions and that revenge would be taken.

According to a statement from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Haniyeh was targeted with a short-range missile and a 7-kilogram warhead was used.

The Guard promised a severe response at the appropriate time, place, and method, declaring that the Zionist state would face decisive retribution for this crime.

Ismail Haniyeh was martyred on July 31 in Tehran while attending an inauguration ceremony for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
