Investigations completed into Iranian President’s helicopter crash, causes revealed

Dubai: Iranian authorities have completed the investigation into the helicopter crash involving former President Ebrahim Raisi.

According to Reuters, Iranian security sources, whose names were not disclosed, informed Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency that the investigation into Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter crash has been completed, confirming that it was indeed an accident.

Security sources stated that the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter crashed due to bad weather. During the investigation, no evidence of an attack was found.

The sources further added that the weather conditions were unfavorable, and the helicopter was unable to manage the weight, causing it to crash in a mountainous region.

The investigation revealed that the helicopter was carrying two more passengers than its capacity.

It is worth recalling that Ebrahim Raisi was martyred in a helicopter crash in May this year near the Azerbaijan border in a mountainous area.
